Meanwhile, at dinner, Hae Yoon is questioning why Shi Woo came out just to find Se Na, shouldn't he have contacted the company first. Hyun Wook is thinking of Se Na, Se Na vice versa.
As Shi Woo finishes his song, he gets a score of 46. The machine tells him to practice more. He gets a call from Rae Hun, Shi Woo's mother is outside of Rae Hun home. Se Na tags along, not knowing the situation.
Shi Woo's mother is begging Rae Hun's mother to convince Rae Hun to take Shi Woo back into the group. She had been there for an hour.
Shi Woo takes her away, asking why she has such little faith in him now. He will earn money to feed her, whether that be as an artist or with another occupation.
Se Na tells him to stop arguing. Shi Woo leaves, his mother asks of Se Na to take good care of him.
Se Na: You're really pathetic, your mother did that because she's worried about you.
Shi Woo: What do you want me to do. I kept thinking about it in the hotel room. What am I supposed to do. What am I supposed to choose? But I can't find the answer because I'm so scared.
Se Na is disappointed in him, to think he thought of his family as a burden. She expected more from him. Se Na leaves upset but soon turns around, to find that he is already gone.
Se Na calls Hyun Wook telling him that Shi Woo is missing.
Shi Woo is crying in his car, thinking of his mother's and Se Na's words. You were my first singer, I expected more from you.
As Hyun Wook is awaiting Shi Woo's call he plays on his tablet. Hae Yoon asks whether he is worried. She relents and joins in on the game. Hae Yoon gets nervous at Hyun Wook's touch as he teaches her how to play the game.
Shi Woo arrives, as Hae Yoon is quick to clear her throat and move back to her seat.
Shi Woo's decision is to go solo.
As Hyun Wook drives home he notices Se Na sitting alone at the bus stop, less than happy. She is just about to call Hyun Wook when she receives a call from him. Informing her of the good news about Shi Woo.
Hyun Wook is overwhelmed by Se Na and Shi Woo's closeness, as she explains, she wasn't the one to convince him - we only went to the karaoke bar then the phone rang...
Joo Hong and her boyfriend are out for a stroll as they come across the two. Hyun Wook is invited back to their house for beer and chicken by the two. The boyfriend tries to sell himself as an actor for AnA.
All become drunk, except Hyun Wook. Se Na is throwing peanuts and attempting to catch them in her mouth but they keep hitting Hyun Wook.
Joo Hong thanks Hyun Wook for paying off Se Na's debt and giving her a salary. Telling him that Se Na's has had a hard life, especially after her sister passed away then her mother died from the shock. Se Na recalls that the guy that lived with So Eun didn't even come to the funeral. Hyun Wook is silent throughout all of this.
Hyun Wook goes for another round of drinks with Sung Jin. Today I want to drink until I don't remember anything. Can he tell the whole truth to Se Na one day?
A press conference is held, announcing Shi Woo going solo. A staff meeting is held, a head-to-head comeback will commence between Shi Woo and MHDR.
Hyun Wook instructs Tiger (the arranger) to rearrange Se Na's song. Tiger is happy as he is finally able to flexible with his skills. Se Na is set with the task to rewrite the lyrics from a man's point of view.
Shi Woo is in vocal training with Sung Jin.
Shi Woo is tense and isn't able to sing from his stomach. Sung Jin knows that he has been practicing since last night and tells him to rest.
Min Ah arrives, Sung Jin calls her pretty and gets a stern disapproval from Hyun Wook. She has something to ask... Hyun Wook pays father a visit to tell him not to reveal to Min Ah his secret. She has caught on to something.
Tiger and Se Na are still working at the song. Tiger takes his leave as Se Na continues with her lyrics.
Se Na wants to write the lyrics herself, rather than giving her draft to the lyricist. Se Na takes a walk, finding Shi Woo practicing his dance.
She asks whether he made up with his mother. He notes that she is such a good daughter.
Se Na: Yeah, someone once said that you only become a good child once your parents die.
Shi Woo: Yours passed away?
Se Na: I don't know about my dad since it has been a long time since I contacted him. But my mum is.
Shi Woo gives his condolences (in the most formal manner). Se Na lets out a giggle. Se Na asks for advice about writing the lyrics as a man. Shi Woo gives it his best go... doing that below...
Se Na: You think this will help me?
Se Na insists that Shi Woo tell her how he felt when he liked Ra Eum. He avoids answering, going back to dance practice.
Hyun Wook listens to the changed lyrics and arrangement and likes it.
Hyun Wook plays a 2 other songs at the staff meeting. Then plays Se Na's song as a potential song for Shi Woo, not letting on that it is her song. They agree on the third song. Tae Min feels as though he was fooled after learning it was Se Na's song.
Hyun Wook finds Shi Woo working hard and tells him he should rest, before he faints. Shi Woo asks why there is bad blood between Hyun Wook and Young Jae, before he gets an answer, Se Na walks in.
Hyun Wook informs the two that Se Na's song was chosen. Se Na relays the good news to Joo Hong on phone, then in person as she asks for a recommendation of a fancy restaurant in the area.
Se Na calls to invite Hyun Wook to dinner (her shout), whilst Hae Yoon was planning on the three of them eating together.
Wifey has set someone to tail Hyun Wook's father. He is buying lettuce sprouts LOL. Tae Min spots Wifey on the roof top making the call and gives her his car accident fee, she asks why he divorced. She fell in love... Wifey tells him off for not doing anything.
Both Hyun Wook and Hae Yoon arrive. The two girls argue about who is to pay, as Hae Yoon orders an expensive champagne. Hae Yoon congratulates Se Na, for officially becoming a songwriter.
Both girls are at it, asking questions - what really is your relationship... so on... Hyun Wook ends the dinner early. Se Na refuses a lift home, he drives Hae Yoon home.
Dal Bong makes his reappearance! Hyun Wook asks Dal Bong whether he was too harsh.
Father is talking to his lettuce as he waters them. Asking them to grow well. He is disrupted by a phone call, promising he can be there in 30. Wifey sends out her minion to photograph him. She is informed that he is meeting with an investor, she takes it out on his lettuce.
Shi Woo finds Se Na brooding by her locker. Telling her she is so brave to wear that to the company outing at the club. She asks whether she really has to go.
Shi Woo: Are you an outcast too?
Se Na: Yeah
He says she can hang out with him if she doesn't want to go. Se Na gets a phone call from Joo Hong, leaving him alone.
Father makes his way to AnA. All the trainees line up as soon as they see him. At the office, he commends Hyun Wook for the song choice but he would prefer Dive's song to be chosen. Their investor doesn't like Se Na's song and is wanting to withdraw his investment.
They argue about the company... lots of yelling... Hyun Wook refuses to let go of Se Na's song, promising he will find another investor. He wants to run the company without the interference of his father.
Father: Just for today, the company is more important than my son.
Hyun Wook: Not just today, it has always been that way. Company before family.
Joo Hong is adamant on giving Se Na a makeover for the company gathering later that night.
Sung Jin encourages Hyun Wook to go to the company gathering as well, off they go.
Se Na arrives all dolled up but noticeably uncomfortable.
Shi Woo is still at AnA when Ra Eum asks why he isn't at the club. She is less than comforting, when she mentions Rae Hun working with Lady Gaga's staff.
He asks why she is paying such close attention, thinking they had broken up. That's exactly the reason why I looked into the details, I'm really hoping you beat him.
Shi Woo: I'm going to trust President Wook.
Sung Jin awkwardly dances with Se Na as he twirls her around. Hae Yoon is taken by the trainees to the dance floor but gets a drink spilled on her as soon as she is there, she goes to freshen up. Jae Young is waiting for her outside the ladies room (apparently his company is also holding a party).
Se Na begins to leave the dance floor, only to look up at Hyun Wook staring straight at her. That continues for a LONG~ time.
Then Hyun Wook suddenly gets sharp pains from the music. Se Na sees this and follows Hyun Wook outside. Se Na teaches Hyun Wook a method to relieve the pain; hop on one foot, hold onto your ear as if you are getting water out of it.
She slips and Hyun Wook catches her just as Hae Yoon exits the club and watches on with Jae Young.
Jae Young: Doesn't this look familiar? Like when Lee Hyun Wook fell in love with Yoon So Eun.
