Hyun Wook is sitting all lonesome at the airport. He calls Se Na - she is looking at the photo of her sister and him, she doesn't pick up. His gut instinct tells him something is wrong, he heads to Joo Hong's.
Se Na gives Jae Young a call, cue his smug face. Se Na leaves the bar but spots Hyun Wook pulling up in a taxi, she hides. He heads in the bar to notice that the photo is missing. Se Na meets up with Jae Young, she asks what was his motive behind her seeing the photo. He tries playing the hero: you know I was close to your sister - so I didn't want your relationship to develop any further - ask me any questions you want. Se Na replies that the photo alone was enough.
Hyun Wook waits for Se Na in the alley way near her house. Se Na turns the corner...
She asks whether he knew from the beginning. You should have told from the start, so I wouldn't have begged for you to like me back, I wouldn't have liked you from the beginning. She doesn't want him to come near her. She leaves.
Hyun Wook retrieves Dal Bong, telling Sung Jin his reason for leaving is gone now (Se Na knows the truth).
Sung Jin and Hae Yoon talk. It is news to her that Hyun Wook's still in Seoul and Se Na knowing the truth. She is about to burst into tears - guilt.
Hae Yoon visits Hyun Wook. She apologises, saying it is all her fault, she had told Jae Young - she regretted it so she did everything she could to stop him from telling Se Na. Hyun Wook: She would have found out sooner or later. She asks whether he is going to disappear like last time. At this point he is unsure of what to do.
Se Na answers a call from Shi Woo - he was going to visit her in Boston - he had a schedule there but he finds out she is in Seoul (it has been a few days).
The two meet up. He asks why she didn't leave - she has no response. Shi Woo: If you're not going to tell me, then can I just assume that is was because of me? He notes that she seems different, you're necklace is smiling but why aren't you?
Se Na walks through her neighbourhood and is reminded of Hyun Wook as a kid buys an icecream. She walks further to have Dal Bong run up to her with Hyun Wook close behind. The two converse with the awkward - how have you been - well - leave.
In a dark room with one light, Tae Min informs Wifey of his findings about the other woman. Things are interrupted when there is an emergency company meeting. The Chinese sponsor is pulling back their funding by the end of the month - there are rumours in the grapevine that there has been inappropriate use of funding. Hae Yoon instructs to find the root of the rumour before acting.
Hae Yoon meets up with Se Na. She tells her that Hyun Wook only wanted to help her - that he had disappeared after her sister passed away - he cut off all relations for three years but came back for her. She relays that she wants to see Se Na and Hyun Wook go back to the way they were, hoping she will recognise that Hyun Wook genuinely wants her to succeed and do well.
After drinks, Hyun Wook sits on the stairs near Se Na's house. Se Na finds him there, she asks whether is it difficult, could it possibly be more difficult for him than her. She is regretful that he pushed her to achieve her dreams, but she isn't going to just stop because of him. She will worked until she is more accomplished than Jae Young. She no longer wants to lean on Hyun Wook. She calls him out for always drinking, not showing up at work etc.
Se Na: I'm not dead, so you should also go back to living and live your life like the amazing person I knew you to be.
Se Na calls Shi Woo to officially accept his offer of becoming his producer. Joo Hong comes in to see a photo sticking out of Se Na note book, she sees it before Se Na can stop her - finding out that Hyun Wook was the boyfriend that wouldn't even show up at So Eun's funeral.
Hubby yells to get his point through in a business related phone call, causing him to become light headed. Next we see him in the hospital, the doctor warns him that he shouldn't be working anymore, recovering from a brain hemorrhage is lowered when he is stressed. His brain could bleed at any moment.
Hubby visits Hyun Wook's place, brining wine - asking him to accept it as it may be the last time - Hyun Wook notes that. The two have a glass, Hubby asks what Hyun Wook would do if it were to be his last day on Earth. He doesn't reply, so Hubby says he would have a few drinks, go fishing, hiking in the woods and he would like it if he were there with Hyun Wook. Hubby sincerely apologises for not taking care of him properly after his mother disappeared as well as being sorry for what happened to So Eun.
Hyun Wook arrives at work the next day. Situation at hand - Jang investor pulling out has spread, Jae Young is pulling BIT** moves, all of the board except Tae Min have been offered positions at Jae Young's company, they have even tried to scout AnA's trainees. A meeting with the investor is scheduled.
Hyun Wook reassures the trainees that the debuts will go ahead as planned. He will not let their 2-5 years of training go to waste. At the meeting with Investor Jang, Jae Young is present - acting all chummy with the investor, taking his leave as Hyun Wook and Hae Yoon arrive. Investor Jang gives Hyun Wook one month to change his mind - to show him the investment is worth while.
After an awkward meeting between the trio - Hyun Wook, Se Na and Shi Woo. The two are informed that the single album should be completed within a month. In the practice room, Se Na is noticeably gloomy to Shi Woo. She changes the subject to what concept he wants for his music this time.
Shi Woo: I want to be with you, I want you to think of only me, I don't ever want you to hold anyone else in your heart... A song with those elements in it.
The two relocate for drinks. Shi Woo asks again what she is worried about - why she has had trouble coming up with songs - is it because of Hyun Wook - what exactly is your relationship with him. A relationship where we can never be.
Se Na arrives home drunk yet clear headed (?) Joo Hong suggests that Se Na stop working at AnA - seeing Hyun Wook is only tormenting her. I still want to see him even if it torments me. Boyfriend pays Hyun Wook a visit ==" revealing that Se Na isn't herself lately - coming home drunk. Also he pretty much gives Hyun Wook his resume - call this number if you want to patch things up.
Shi Woo comes to tell Hyun Wook that even if the song takes longer than promised to produce, he will still have faith in Se Na.
Hyun Wook finds Se Na to give her a concert ticket in hopes that the concert will inspire her. Se Na rejects the offer- this is how it all started, stop caring/looking out for me. Shi Woo arrives at the scene to grab Se Na's hand, asking Hyun Wook to let her go.
THOUGHTS
Hmmm... Where to start? I'm pretty much over the Hyun Wook/Se Na storyline, I really don't care to give it a second thought - or care where it's going. SIGH I was really hoping to have liked this drama more. I was hesitant from the very beginning watching this drama - only tuned in for Myungsoo/L.
Well we all know who is going to end up with Se Na - we all know Rain ain't settling for 2nd lead. With 3 more episodes to go lets hope there is no extension. Sorry to sound like a negative Nancy. There were so many other sub plots that would have been much more interesting but all the episodes centre around Hyun Wook and Se Na too much. What happened to Ra Eum or Rae Hoon? They fell off the face of the Earth and what about more of a backstory for Shi Woo.
Anyways, enough with the ranting. I will continue to recap this drama till the end since I have already invested so much time watching it.
